After not seeing one another for sometime, a group of friends in their 40s catch up on a night of drinking. Arnold reveals that he recently separated from his wife for not being “fit” for each other. Herald is a returning overseas Filipino worker who shares similar patriarchal ideals with Joseph. Whereas Gelo, who has yet to marry, is a closeted gay man, struggling to find the courage to accept his identity. As the night goes on, a certain tension grows and lingers between Arnold and Gelo. When Herald asks Arnold how many girlfriends he had after his wife, Arnold reveals that he is queer and has been with three men. Arnold is able to name two of the three men; the third is still beside him, working up the courage to tell his friends about his identity.
